Sapphire Pavement is my own spiritual-scientific research, taking cues from Rudolf Steiner, with surprising key discoveries about the Star Ages and about Steiner himself. It is also my vision for a spiritual community, drawing on years of experience with Quest in Glastonbury, helping people in need, starting on our doorstep.

Why “Sapphire Pavement”?
I’ve known for a long time that I had to get my visions and story out … But I had to wait to see what to do. And even then I had to wait until Spirit said “now!” I was given the title months earlier … the phrase comes in two books of the Bible, Ezekiel and Exodus. The most notable context, Exodus 24:10, says (my adaptation of KJV and the Hebrew original):
The Covenant Sealed
And he said unto Moses, Come up unto YHVH, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. And Moses alone shall come near YHVH: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
And Moses came and told the people all the words of YHVH, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which YHVH hath said will we do. And Moses wrote [!!!!!!!] all the words of YHVH, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent [!!!!!!!] young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto YHVH. And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that YHVH hath spoken we will do, and obey. And Moses took [!!!!!!!] the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which YHVH hath made with you concerning all these words.
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw [!!!!!!!] the ELOHIM of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw [!!!!!!!] the ELOHIM, and did eat and drink.
I use [!!!!!!!] to represent and draw attention to something in the Hebrew text that until our times has been ignored and left untranslated. Yet it is precisely here that I see a really important mystery and clue to Moses and the whole Hebrew Bible! The Hebrew original spells out alef-tav, which translated appropriately into Greek is alpha-omega. I get the impression of indications of power, of “o-my-god!!” hidden at these points. There is a profusion of them in this chapter: this is the case only at high points. Here, all the elders of Israel were allowed to “see God and live” … yet this was not the case for even Moses in Exodus 33 … this is a real mystery!
I have used the original Hebrew names for G-d, because “everything is there for a reason” even if it is a mystery. Certain periods of history give openings, as it were, for people to solve the mysteries, and our time is one of those. And for that we have to go back to originals.
The title I was given is a blessing … which of course goes with responsibility … the fate of Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu, soon after, is a reminder …
Significance of 6 August
Sapphire Pavement was uploaded on 6 August, which is both Hiroshima Day and the Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ. This extraordinary apocalyptic double image of Destruction and Blessing also repeats in Christ’s words on the Cross. “Eli Eli lama sabachthani” can be translated either “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” or “My God, my God, how have you glorified me!” It runs close to my own experiences and what I have to bring to the world. And it also honours Marjorie Milne, the Anglican mystic who spent her last years in Glastonbury praying for unity and peace, every day in the Abbey. August 6th was her special day. Through her, Rev James Turnbull moved to Glastonbury in faith, and later on was an unofficial “God-father” to the Quest Community.
It was only after the website was uploaded that I realized it had happened on this special day. And of course, 2020 has been a thoroughly apocalyptic year, with both Plague and Spiritual Awakening as its characteristics.
